These vacation homes are also located in Northport, Michigan. For many years, traveling north on M-22 from Sutton’s Bay, a motor court of small, white, log cabins greeted the tourist at the southern edge of town. Now, with the cost of land going up and availability going down, the individual cabins have been sold off like an apartment building converting to condominiums. The result is a mixture of the old, the restored and the new. Some cabins were removed completely and replaced with brand new, tiny log homes. Images 1 through 4 represent this trend. Images 5 and 6 are examples of the original cabins restored by their new owners. | ||||||||
